Books To Wear

I WANT THESE SO BAD!!!!!  Seriously, it's probably a good thing I don't get paid for a while 'cause seriously I want all of these!!!!!!!  You can find all of them at www.litographs.com which is quickly becoming a favorite site of mine. They are shirts made from the texts of the books they depict.  They come in various color schemes and seriously I NEED THESE!
The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes

Pride and Prejudice (front and back)

Peter Pan (front and back)

Alice in Wonderland (front and back)

Phantom of the Opera

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz

The Tempest

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
Anne of Green Gables
So there is a billion trillion more shirts I want, and on top of that the site has totes, posters, and temp tattoos that are all super awesome (I'm not being paid I swear).  This is book love in one of its purest forms.  Sooooo if anybody wants to get me a present ANYTHING from this site is welcome...Happy Reading Everybody!

Spoiled!

Had a fabulous weekend.  Started with an excellent work out session in beautiful weather with the Hubbin, followed by dinner and fun with my bestie L.  Got my lazy bum out of bed early Sunday to run rehab and EMS for live burns, which is essentially where I get to set a building on fire multiple times and tell my firefighters to put it out.  It was a ton of fun and I learned a lot.  The part that may have been the best is when my awesome, amazing Hubbin came home with this!
Book pillows
I got the awesome open Alice in Wonderland one, that is not only super cool to look at...but pretty darn comfy as well.
ThinkGeek
This is what the other side looks like.  There are two more, Treasure Island and Sherlock Holmes which I eventually want to get, but they are not "open" so they are not quite as cool as my Alice one.  How lucky am I to have such an amazing Hubbin who knows me so well to get me the perfect gift to lift my spirits.  It is now sitting on my reading chair, the perfect comfy addition to my book time.

Old Books, New Tricks

With the holiday season just around the corner (I refuse to call it the holiday's until the week of Thanksgiving!) now is the time you crafty sorts start preparing your loving homemade gifts for us klutzy types who should not be allowed around scissors/hot glue/pins/needles/etc... Here are some great examples of great hand made gifts you can make for your resident book worm (just don't use his/her books to do it, he/she may kill you until you are dead!)
Book Spine Book Marks
These are totally awesome and easy to make, a great way to keep a piece of that beloved book that is literally falling apart at the seams
Book Purse
You could go so many directions with this, a great way to use a vintage children's book.  Added bonus this is from EPBOT which is one of my favorite sites!
Book Clock
This would look great sitting on a bedside table, or on a bookshelf, or on the wall, or just about anywhere.  It is much easier to make then it looks, making you the gift maker seem like a genius!
Tree Ornament
This would be a lovely addition to any gift and can double as an ornament or decoration

Resin and Book Jewelry
Oooh so pretty, a fairly easy way to capture your favorite saying to wear with you always!

So what are you all making me?  What type of book crafts have you done (I want pictures!)?  If somebody else took the book apart for you, do you think it would be easier to do these crafts?  Do you think I will ever be allowed to use a hot glue gun?

So Pretty!

Check out this awesome book I got from MIL and FIL for Christmas this year.  It is hand made so you won't be able to find it in stores, I think it is so cool! They are poems about faeries and mermaids and other cool things accompanied by hand pressed illustrations all in black, a very very cool looking book I love it!

What unique gift did you get this year?  Do you like pretty books, or is the story/content more important?  How much do you want this book!?!
