Book Of Thankful

Sometimes I think I should write a book of things I'm thankful for.  That way when life is sucky and it feels like the whole world is never gonna get better, I can open up my book and remember how awesome I have it.  Here is what the first page would look like
Things I'm Thankful For
Part I of Endless

Even though it has been a rough year for several of my friends and family, we are all still here and all still kicking, me people are seriously rocking it.

When watching all the horrific events that happen in the world, I can always find examples of love and courage being shown, turning these awful events into a showcase for how amazing human beings can be to each other when they need to.

I not only have an amazing family of my own, but I have multiple adopted families who take such great care of me, even when I am not at my best.

My firehouse and crew who make my life worth waking up for on a very regular basis.  Whenever I am feeling lost or overwhelmed, one exhausting shift at station 13 with my girls and boys and I am all better.

Used book stores that make my book buying obsessions easier and cheaper and more frequent.

My over flowing bookshelves that make me smile ever time I walk in my door.

The ability to read.

This is just the start and I think I will constantly add to it so that I can always know that the world is a better place then I think it is sometimes.  Happy Reading Everybody!

So Much Thankfulness

Today is a day for giving thanks and I have so much to be thankful for.
My loving Hubbin who is a friend, partner, therapist, and adventuring companion.
A family both blood and adopted who love me so much!
Friends who make me feel almost normal :-)
A station family who is the best a girl could ask for.
A profession I love.
A roof over my head and food in my belly.
More toys then any girl has a right to own.
So many books, the ability to get more, the right to read any one I choose and the ability to read them. Also bookshelves for all of them :-)
I do hope everybody else in the states is having a good Thanksgiving and that everybody else has plenty to be grateful for.  Happy Reading Everybody!

Cold, Tired, Happy

So incredibly tired, but so incredibly happy.  Had duty last night and ran so many calls I literally have not even tried to go to bed yet.  It was/is literally freezing (and literally is literally my favorite word today) and we were outside in the cold all night, but still happy.  See I am happy 'cause as exhausted as I am and as sure as I am that I will probably never actually be warm again I still, I got to spend time helping people, working with people I enjoy, coming home to a Hubbin and a huge cup of coffee, and looking forward to more Christmas shopping tonight. I get to look forward to crazy family time, farm time, and just all around awesome time.
I get to continue to teach people who are eager to learn, go to birthday parties with friends, I get to read and read and read and read and read!  So am I to tired to even keep my head up, yep, am I so cold I am pathetically huddled around a space heater with multiple layers of blankets, yep, am I sore and in a fair amount of pain, yep, am I incredibly happy YEP! Happy Reading Everybody.
